Third Prize of the contest “Students with Starup Ideas in 2022”

Contest “Students with Startup Ideas in 2022” – The theme of the contest is “Challenge of Creative Startups for Smart City 2022” which was organized by the Center for Innovation and Startup Incubation Nguyen Tat Thanh University in collaboration with The Student Culture House In Ho Chi Minh city, with the companionship of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh city.

The contest was held from May 19th, 2022 to July 3rd, 2022, and attracted 55 projects by nearly 300 students from 22 universities and colleges with many creative and interesting ideas. After two preliminary and semi-finals, the jury selected 18 teams that is the best to compete in the final round.

Recently, the team HASE ICE CREAM of students from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (including Nguyen Thi Xuan – Class 10DHTP2 and Tran Thi Thao Tien – Class 10DHTP12) combined with the Faculty of Finance and Accounting (including Nguyen Thi Anh Thu  - Class 10DHNH3, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lin – Class 10DHNH3, Tran Phuong An – Class 10DHNH3) from Ho Chi Minh University of Food Industry. They were under the guidance of a Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong and Ph.D. Vo Thi Thuy Hang and they had excellently entered the final round and won 3 prizes in the contest with a bounty of 5,000,00 VND.

The final round was held on September 18th, 2022 at 7:30 am at Hall A801 at 300A Nguyen Tat Thanh street, ward 13, district 4, Ho Chi Minh city, with nearly 400 representatives and 18 teams from the universities and colleges.

Coconut Avocado Ice Cream products received the attention of the judges, businesses, and participants in the final round of the contest

HASE Coconut Avocado ice cream is a harmonious combination of Avocado and Coconut, which is two rich sources of nutrients and biologically active ingredients, including lipids, vitamin E, carotenoids, vitamins, and minerals.

The difference between the HASE with other ice creams on the market is the additional ingredients, such as jam, juices, and cream. The HASE ice cream added 4-5 times higher fresh fruit pulp. It not only brings high nutritional value but also creates a nutty flavor. A special feature in HASE ice cream production technology is the use of microwaves to prevent browning and preserve avocados, which helps to stabilize and preserve the quality of ingredients.

HASe coconut avocado ice cream is a new type on the market, offering customers ice cream with rich nutritional value and delicious taste. To create happiness for farmers, producers, and customers. The brand’s orientation is Happy (happiness) and SErotonin (happy hormone).

Moreover, on behalf of the HASE ice cream group would like to thank Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong has supported ideas and technology consulting for the group. Ph.D. Vo Thi Thuy Hang provided consultancy in the market, marketing strategy, production cost, product distribution channels, and appraisal for the project. Dr. Sales Nguyen Quang Thai – CEO of Thanh Thai Gia company provided advice on the market, customer psychology, and business connection for the competition team. Dr. Hoang Thi Thoa Deputy Director of the Center for Admissions and Communication actively supported the team.
