Recently, the group of students from the "Exchange Program between the Faculty of Food Science and Technology - HUFI and the College of Science and Technology - Kyungpook National University - South Korea (KNU) in 2023" encountered many difficulties in preparing documents and applying for visas to come to the beautiful country of South Korea.
Let's listen to the sharing of the students about their "Difficult journey from the interview process, document application to Korea" in this batch:
Student Phuong Minh said: "At first, the interview process to select 5 students was quite daunting because it was conducted in English, so there were many obstacles in communicating with Professor Kang Won Woo. However, Professor Kang and the faculty members, especially Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, always supported and helped us have a complete exchange session. As for the visa application issue, due to everything being close to Tet holiday, it was a bit of a hindrance. When we arrived in South Korea, we were helped by the Kyungpook National University students and our alumnus, Mr. Tieu Minh Huy, who is pursuing a Master's degree at KNU, as well as the arrangement and support of Professor Kang, so everything was not too unfamiliar and difficult for us. Once again, I would like to thank Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, Professor Kang Won Woo, and Mr. Tieu Minh Huy for supporting us so much during the preparation and study at Kyungpook National University. Thank you to the FST for giving me the opportunity to study and search for new opportunities in South Korea."
Student Thuy Trang with her experiences: "The initial difficulty was the preparation of documents to apply for a visa for the trip, but with the support of Dr. Thuy Duong and Mr. Tieu Minh Huy (alumnus), they passed on their experience and accompanied us from the initial preparation stage to the final result, helping us achieve the expected result. The trip from Tan Son Nhat airport to Incheon was very smooth, and with the support of the lecturers in South Korea, we quickly and safely arrived at Sangju Campus. They enthusiastically supported us from the dormitory procedures, residency cards, to life in South Korea. Currently, our life in South Korea has stabilized, and we have started studying programs here as well as meeting and exchanging with Korean and Vietnamese students who are also doing research with the professors in South Korea."
Minh Cuong also had his own thoughts: "I am very happy to be given the opportunity by the FST and KNU to study in Korea. The process of applying was quite complex and time-consuming, but after days of trying, I finally obtained the desired visa. I would like to thank Dr. Pham Thi Thuy Duong for her help and support in the application process. Additionally, I would like to thank Prof. Kang, who despite not being in Vietnam, provided us with a lot of support in Korea. He arranged everything meticulously, from the moment we set foot in Korea, and we were warmly welcomed and guided by Korean students who showed us how to live there. We had many opportunities to go out and socialize, and we adapted very quickly thanks to Prof. Kang's meticulous arrangements. Once again, I sincerely thank the FST - HUFI for the support and for providing us with the opportunity to experience this fascinating country of Korea. I hope that in the future, students will also receive more support and opportunities from the FST - HUFI for a new and exciting learning and experience journey."
After a lot of difficulties, FST students are now in the beautiful Korea
