Mycotoxins are toxic compounds produced by molds that grow on many types of food such as grains, dried fruits, nuts, and spices. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and various research agencies, these molds can produce carcinogenic toxins capable of causing gene mutations.
To help students gain a deeper understanding of mycotoxins, the Food Science and Technology Club will organize the 2024 International Seminar titled “Mycotoxins in Food and Strategies for Mycotoxin Reduction.” Details are as follows:
