Domestic cooperation

Training association between university and enterprises is objective need derived from both sides’ benefits. Seizing this trend, Faculty of Food Science and Technology continuously broadens, develops cooperation activities with domestic food production enterprises. This activity helps connecting needs of enterprises and training work, heading toward the aim of human resources trained at university will be accepted and used effectively in enterprises.

Enterprises cooperating with Faculty of Food Science and Technology

Now, Faculty of Food science and technology has strong cooperation with enterprises of food processing, production and business in many different activity fields such as: production – business – processing of meat, milk, seafood, oil, sugar, confectionery, cereal, instant noodle, fish sauce, fast food… in those with companies with big brands like:

- Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company

- Golden Hope Edible oil company

-Bourbon Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company

-Tuong An Vegetable oill Joint Stock Company

-Binh Tay Wine Joint stock company

-Vissan Joint stock company

-Kinh Do corporation

-Yakult Vietnam Company Limited

-Heineken Vietnam beer and beverages limited company

In those companies, Kinh Do company signed long-term memorandum of understanding. With this memorandum of understanding, the University will support Kinh Do company in training and supplying human resource that meet using requirement of enterprises, increasing training motto with address; cooperating with company in doing scientific research; conducting scientific project, improvement consulting, product development and technology transfer to develop strong points of each side.

Cooperation in training, improving human resource for factory

In cooperation with enterprises besides supplying human resource for enterprises, Faculty of Food science and technology also held conferences, knowledge training of food safety and hygiene, training to improve workmanship level at companies, factories,..

Since 2011, faculty conducted project “Training HACCP knowledge at food companies and industrial kitchens”. This is project that belongs to “National target program of food safety and hygiene” with thousands of learner turns from food enterprises, factories and industrial kitchens.

Besides, Faculty of Food science and technology hold training for increasing workmanship level for learners of companies, factories: Tay Nam Sugar Joint Stock company, Vocarimex Company, Saigon tobacco company, 23 company, Binh Tay wine company

Moreover, Faculty of Food science and technology often organize training classes to supply knowledge of Food safety and Hygiene for thousands of learners which join directly in production at companies, factories such as: Cai Lan Vegetable oil Company, Ket Noi Viet Company Limited, Truong Tho Milk Factory, Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company, Kho van business unit, Beverages Joint Stock Company Aviation Sasco

Cooperation in holding actual visiting and taking internship at food production factories

Faculty of Food science and technology, through “Food science and technology club”, annually hold many visiting trips in order to facilitate lecturers and students to approach production and technology reality, modern equipment in food production factories.

Besides, each year, faculty send hundreds of students to take internship at factories, from 8-12 weeks to learn about technology, organization method and actual production management, to help students adapt quickly to working environment after graduation.

Cooperation in holding conferences, seminars

Companies, factories, state management units in food field often invite lecturers of Faculty of food science and technology to make scientific reports at domestic conferences or seminars at enterprises (Intertek Company, BVQI-Bureau Veritas Certofication VN)

The faculty also cooperate with units to hold scientific conferences of food: with TetraPak Vietnam to hold conference “Technology for production liquid and sterilized packaged food”; with Nam Long company to hold conference of food analysis equipment, with Nielsen Vietnam to hold sharing session “Customer research – Market research”.

Domestic cooperation activity of Faculty of Food science and technology in the next time will be broadened and the faculty will consolidate the relationship with domestic universities, governmental management agencies, research institutes…such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, HCMC University of Science and Technology, Can Tho University, HCMC University of Technology and Education, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University, National Institute of Nutrition, Food Institute, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers,..

The Faculty of food science and technology always emphasize the cooperation with enterprises and governmental management agencies, administrative agencies in food field. We consider this activity as indispensable motivation, serving stable development of the faculty.
