Food Application and Technology Transfer Center

The Food Application and Technology Transfer Center, under the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, was established in 2019 with the aim of conducting activities to connect and collaborate with the business community. It has two main functions:

1. RESEARCH

  • Conducting research activities.
  • Technology transfer: Collaborating on research to improve existing products and develop new ones, as well as transferring technology and products.

2. EDUCATIONAL TRAINING

  • Training for product development activities.
  • Establishing and developing research and development (r&d) functions/departments.
  • Training and consulting in management and technology improvement for productivity enhancement.
  • Taining on the effective and safe use of food additives.

The team of lecturers and staff at the Center are highly skilled, enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to a common goal:

  • Creating innovative and creative products to provide practical benefits to businesses.
  • Adding value to Vietnam's strong agricultural products through processing and product development.
  • Creating an environment that promotes scientific research activities and product development among lecturers and students.

FACILITIES       

In addition, the physical facilities of the center include 11 specialized practical rooms in food technology fields such as grain laboratory, tea-coffee-cocoa laboratory, alcohol-beer-soft drink laboratory, fruit and vegetable laboratory, sauce and seasoning laboratory, sugar-cake-candy laboratory, meat-seafood laboratory, dairy-oil laboratory, food packaging laboratory, sensory evaluation laboratory, and 3 specialized research rooms in food technology. The center's equipment is continuously upgraded to effectively support operations and development, aiming to create practical value for society.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

The primary research direction of the Center is Research and Development of products:

- Baked goods, including bread, sponge cake, mooncakes, cookies, etc., and associated products such as fillings and toppings.
  
- Ready-to-use flour mixes for the production of various baked goods and desserts.
  
- Liquid products, including beverages, nutritional drinks from fruits, herbs, and other agricultural products.
