In the journey to create a safe – fulfilling – and inspiring camp season for freshmen, the Organizing Committee deeply appreciates the invaluable support of South Sai Gon International General Hospital, the official medical sponsor who stood side by side with the program throughout the event.
The hospital’s dedicated assistance was reflected not only in the provision of essential equipment but also in a complete medical kit containing various necessary tools and medications to comprehensively handle emergency situations, including: cardiopulmonary arrest resuscitation; fracture and soft-tissue injury management; spinal trauma care; and timely treatment of other common medical conditions. All of these contributed to a strong safety shield for hundreds of campers and staff members during the entire Camp.
The Organizing Committee would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nguyen Lam Vinh Phuc and Nurse Tran Ai Lien, who directly accompanied the camp, remaining on standby and ready to provide emergency care 24/7.
A particularly alarming incident occurred when a camper suddenly experienced seizures, vomiting, and loss of consciousness at 2:00 AM. With an initial diagnosis of impaired consciousness and hypotension suspected to be due to decreased circulating volume, the medical team promptly examined the student, stabilized blood pressure, and administered intravenous fluids, electrolytes, and nutrition—continually monitoring until the camper fully recovered.
Throughout the many physical and sports activities at the Camp, several students experienced health issues such as stomach pain, coughing, sore throat, runny nose, soft-tissue injuries, knee pain, ankle pain, etc.—all of whom received attentive examination and timely treatment. More severe cases—such as vestibular disorders not responding to oral medication or severe ankle sprains—were also managed with vestibular disorder treatment injections, pain-relief injections, and joint immobilization, ensuring campers could continue participating safely.
Thanks to the responsible and professional support of Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital, the 2025 Freshmen Camp was conducted under maximum safety conditions, allowing students to fully enjoy every activity—from the opening ceremony, teambuilding, and masterchef challenges to the emotional gala night and campfire.
