Our Mission: Safeguarding Public Health and Enhancing Food Value
In the era of globalization and the continuous emergence of new food brands, transparency and product safety have become top priorities. The Quality Assurance and Food Safety (QA&FS) major plays a vital role in controlling the entire food production chain.
Role and Position: This program trains engineers to become experts in Quality Management and Food Safety by identifying hazards and vulnerabilities at every stage of production. From these insights, students learn to develop comprehensive control plans and measures to ensure both quality and safety throughout the entire food supply chain.
Strengths of the QA&FS Program at HUIT:
- Modern Facilities: Students have the opportunity to study and practice with state-of-the-art laboratory and experimental equipment.
- Comprehensive Knowledge Groups: The curriculum focuses on core areas including Food Hygiene and Safety, Food Analytical Techniques, Food Production and Quality Control, Food Law, and international standards for Quality Management Systems (ISO, HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, IFS, HALAL).
- Solid Technical Foundation: Students are equipped with essential knowledge in food chemistry, microbiology, and fundamental processes within the food industry.
- Training Experience: The Faculty of Food Science and Technology at HUIT is the pioneer in Vietnam to offer Bachelor/Engineer programs in Food Quality Assurance and Safety (FQA&S). The excellence of our graduates in this field has been firmly established alongside the prestige and brand identity of HUIT.

- Consultancy and Training: Serve as experts in training, consulting, and auditing quality management and food safety systems.
- Public Sector: Work as Food Safety Inspectors or specialists within state management agencies.
