In order to record excellent achievement of student group of FST at the Prize of student doing scientific research Euréka 2019, on January 09th, 2020, at room C202, HUFI, Department of Science Management and Graduate training cooperated with Youth Union – Student association hold Honor Ceremony of students that got high prize at Final round of the Prize of student doing scientific research Euréka 2019. The Ceremony was organized to encourage more strongly the activity of scientific research of students as well as lecturers.
The Ceremony had the presence of Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, University’s rector; Mr Phan Xuan Cuong - Party committee secretary; lecturers who are vice and deputy of Department/Faculty/Center; and lecturers ans students that got the prize.

The prize of students doing scientific research Eureka year 2019 attracted the participation of 2069 students of 100 universities, colleges, institutes in Vietnam. Passing the preselection round of the Faculty and University, 10 scientific researches of 37 FST’s students continued the competition in Semifinal round of the competition on two fields (Food technology and Agrculture-Forestry-Fishery). With the support, experience sharing and orientation of lectures, students have more scientific basement to be confident to join the contest.
Besides, continuous effort of individual during scientific research is significant luggage to obtain good achievement for student groups. 2 in 10 teams in semifinal were chosen to the Final round, brought honor back for University of Food Industry with First prize (study “Effectiveness improvement of anthocyanin encapsulation in yeast cells”, authors: Hoang Thi Thuy Hang, Nguyen Huyen Nguyet Tran, Cao Thi Thao, Nguyen Thi Huyen, instructor: Mr Lieu My Dong) and 1 consolidation prize (the study”Development of prediction model of effects of temperature, water activity and thyme essential oil on growth rate and assessment of toxin production of Aspergillus flavus”, authors: Trinh Duc Tuan, Vuong Khanh Linh, Nguyen Nhat Huy, instructor: Mrs Phan Thi Kim Liên) in food technology field.
Making a speech in the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan- University’s rector acknowledged and glorified spirit of students. Mr Hoan emphasized, the students should not feel content with achievement but they had to try more in learning, practicing and doing scientific research to accumulate luggage for life after.

The result is one more achievement of HUFI’s students and FST’s students. This is a motivation to promote the creation, initiative in learning and doing research, creating stable basement for students to continue developing ability in many scientific playgrounds in Vietnam and abroad.
